TIRANA | 6 – 10 MAY 2019
During the PlayUK StoryHack 2019, the British Council will provide professional development opportunities for all those who are either experienced or absolute beginners by helping them master their storytelling abilities using new digital platforms. Hosted by well-known British artists Myra Appannah and Simon Wilkinson, the StoryHack workshop is built and experienced like a game and designed as a reboot from traditional linear forms for storytellers and communicators. The aim is to help artists, filmmakers, theatre directors, musicians, marketeers and others to embrace interactivity, gamification, speculative design and transmedia methodologies into their practice as a means of adapting their approach for the emerging age of playful media. The workshop will consist of theoretical and practical parts, and each of the workshop participants will be able to develop their own digital product (e.g. a game or a VR installation) at the end of this process.
