Wrap up warm as we head out in the ice and snow Antarctica with the co-founders of the multi award winning game studio ‘State of Play’ Katherine Bidwell and Luke Whittaker as they tell us about the creation of their latest game ‘South of the Circle’.

Released in 2020 on Apple Arcade ‘South of the Circle’ tells the story of Peter, a Cambridge academic who finds himself fighting for survival in Antarctica during the 1960’s Cold War.  Peter flashes back to his life at the university and his relationship with a fellow lecturer, Clara.

It is a game about memory, survival, and the consequences of not dealing with the past. As Peter battles against the harsh conditions and his attempts to escape the ice become more desperate, the lines between his past and present begin to blur.
