The British Council Examinations Services are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of examiners for IELTS exam. Applicants should be able to work mainly in Tirana. They do not have to be native speakers but their level of English must be at level C2 of the Council of Europe Framework (equivalent of IELTS band 9).

Role overview

Essential qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
  • A recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), or equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
  • Sufficient relevant EFL/ESOL teaching experience. The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).
  • The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills.
