2. Choose a test date

*Please check with the relevant centre to confirm the test date.

3. Register for Aptis 

Before you register for Aptis, contact the test location directly to receive the REFERENCE NUMBER and to check for availability on your preferred test date. After this, prepare the registration documents and submit them to the test location. 

There are a limited number of places for all Aptis test sessions. To make sure you get a place, we recommend you register as early as possible. Registration closes three working days before the test.

Aptis registration documents:

• registration form
• copy of your ID document (a valid passport or ID card) – this should be the same ID document that you will use for identification on the test day
• bank payment slip – If you are emailing the documents please send a scan or legible photo of the bank payment slip and the above documents to the registration locations. 

4. Payment

The cost of sitting an Aptis Listening and Reading test is 65 Euros, whereas the cost of sitting an Aptis All Skills (Reading, writing, listening and speaking) costs 70 euros. Please pay via bank transfer prior to registering.

The British Council cannot accept payments made from banks (or other financial institutions) sanctioned by the UK or any other relevant jurisdiction. Where the British Council discovers evidence of payment from a sanctioned bank and/or sanctioned financial institution we will freeze all funds related to that payment and will be unable to deliver the service for which the payment was intended. Please therefore ensure that you do not make payments from an account in a sanctioned bank and/or sanctioned financial institution.

Additional information

Transfer

If you want to transfer to a different test date, you need to notify us at least three days prior to the test session you have registered for. To do this, please inform your registration centre. An administrative fee of €10 will be applicable.

You will not be able to reschedule your test if you don’t show on the test day unless you provide sufficient reasoning for your absence. 

Results

Your result will be available five working days after the test. You can collect your certificate at the test location.
